Ed....set the viewer font and size in:
KDE Control Center->LookNFeel->Fonts->Fixed width
The changes will activate after you open a new Konqueror
window. I like Lucinda Console. In Kwrite the font can be
set in:
Settings->Configure Highlighting->Defaults
