Hi, I'm afraid I don't have time to run your example, but looking at it I note that you're using ‘\placecontent[level=section]’. If you're using MkIV, the level parameter no longer works: see e.g. http://archive.contextgarden.net/message/20100217.135437.92543d63.ca.html Try something like \placelist[chapter,section] instead.
