Did you try to comment /etc/java-8-openjdk/accessibility.properties entry for accessibility?

Netbeans installs and works fine with Oracle JDK 8, and if after installing it with Oracle JDK I then run it with OpenJDK it works but it's almost unusable due to the slowliness and freezes of several seconds.
