*Project Location* *South Jersey - 08009* *Duration* *6+ Months Contract* *Interview Mode: Phone + F2F* *Visa status: USC, GC* *Job Description:* One of our retail clients near Philadelphia is looking for an Oracle Database Developer to join their team. This person will be responsible for enhancing and maintaining database applications for transactional, traditional data warehouse and big data databases. This includes enhancements to applications interfacing with several Oracle and SQL Server environments, and improving the ETL processes enabling the business to have the information they need on demand at their fingertips. They are looking for someone who loves to roll up his or her sleeves to understand the business need and translate that into amazing technology capabilities. This Team Member must act with the organization Values in mind: people, integrity, desire to be the best, passion, enthusiasm and new ideas. *Responsibilities:* - Development and maintenance of custom tables, indexes, views, packages, stored procedures, functions, triggers and other database objects. - Develop custom ETL processes from multiple sources including several Oracle and SQL Server databases then loading that data into an Oracle data warehouse and Hadoop cluster. We are only now scratching the surface on our big data capabilities. - Take responsibility for feature-focused unit and system testing. - Contribute to user acceptance testing procedures and monitoring results. - Contribute to performance and load testing procedures and issue remediation. - Perform end to end analysis for requested systems changes or issue resolution. - Defines a set of architectural principles (technology stacks, upgrade paths, etc.) and clearly communicates across the team. - Suggests systems changes for projects, application enhancements, or problem resolutions that are aligned to a common and well understood set of architectural principles. - Clear communicator with business stakeholders, is “bi-lingual” and able to speak both a business and IT vernacular. - Strong communicator across the team; knows exactly what is expected of them, the tasks assigned, how to balance workloads between incidents, application enhancements, and projects. - Ensures a positive and professional relationship within the business by complying with policies and procedures. - Communicate any outstanding and/or critical issues to the company management. - Self-starter, independent thinker, collaborative to drive consensus where necessary. *Experience and Education Requirements:* - Bachelors or Masters in a Technology Development / Engineering discipline. - Deep hands-on knowledge of Oracle databases: creating tables, indexes, views, packages, procedures, functions, triggers and other database objects. - Ability to troubleshoot and enhance existing code when performance issues arise. - Experience with designing both relational and non-relational databases and optimizing database structure for performance and/or maintainability and the ability to design and optimize queries. - Experience with Oracle Retail implementation: merchandising, allocation, forecasting, price maintenance, invoice matching, integration bus, AppWorx/UC4 scheduler. - Solid understanding of functional (FP) programming in Javascript using current design patterns/practices, especially as it applies to building flexible NodeJS and AngularJS applications. - Large scale data processing. - Experience driving both standard waterfall and agile development programs. - Excellent oral and verbal communication skills. - Proficiency in standard office equipment and computer software including Microsoft Windows, Excel, and Word. - Database administration for either Oracle or SQL Server databases is a plus. - Experience designing reports and dashboards in MicroStrategy is a plus. - Retail experiences a plus. *Note: We are Working with tier-1 Vendor.* Thanks & Regards, Udbhav Mathur Talent Acquisition Specialist Email:- umat...@tekshapers.com <tar...@tekshapers.com> Gtalk: udbhav.intime Tekshapers Inc. – WMBE Firm 1441 E.
