Deperry President The Chamber news & updates June 2, 2022 I Issue PRESIDENT'S CORNER Meet Our New Executive Director It is with great pleasure I introduce to you our New Executive Director, Leslie A. Esoian. Leslie is a familiar face around town, having served on several local boards such as the Richard M. Keane Foundation, The Wethersfield Youth Advisory Board and is currently the volunteer President at Wethersfield Community Television, Inc. Along with her deep dedication to Wethersfield and her never ending enthusiasm, Leslie brings a volume of web design and marketing experience, which will all help to build our awesome chamber. My name is Leslie Esoian and I am the new Executive Director of Wethersfield Chamber of Commerce (The Chamber). My first day was on May 17, 2022. I have been learning a lot from Debra Raymond, the outgoing ED, who has provided great feedback and input to help me fit-in quickly and smoothly. Thank you, Deb, for your guidance and support. I am familiarizing myself with all the annual events that The Chamber is involved with and look forward to working with the chairs of those committees. I am eager to grow our membership and its offerings, and I am especially looking forward to meeting chamber members as I plan to make field trips around town and stop in to say hello over the coming weeks and months. The Chamber, under my tenure, has it’s first event entitled Make-A-Splash-A Business Expo and Mixer scheduled for June 23, 2022, and I hope to meet many members at this new and vibrant event. Another new event The Chamber is sponsoring, along with Wethersfield Community Television, Inc., is a Halloween Boo Bash on October 29, 2022 at the Pitkin Community Center and more information to follow on that soon. I am working from The Chamber office on 200 Main Street, and my summer office hours will be typically Monday-Thursday 9:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. Please feel free to stop in any time and say hello. If you are in the area, you will see the new sign outside on the steps of Keeney Memorial letting everyone know The Chamber is open! There is much more to come as I fully immerse myself into the position, and I am excited to add to an already strong and healthy Chamber of Commerce.
