I made enquiries amonst those I know in the antipodes and this is the sole response so far: "I'm in BrisVegas, outer suburb, but cannot think of one place i would tell a visitor "you must go see". He could have a Miami-ish experience if he wants to go to the Gold Coast, just down the road"
