That's fine, but it doesn't touch on the issue I'm talking about, which is that zlib != gzip. BTW I noticed that that also affects the pg_dump file itself; 002 changes the file format to say "gzip", but that's wrong for -Fc, which does not use gzip headers, which could be surprising to someone who specified "gzip". -- Justin
