Hmm. I built it with dpkg-buildpackage in the clean git tree. Thanks for
fixing this. I think something like that for testing on my side should

This is a limitation of the 3.0 quilt package format.
dpkg warns about this problem, when building the source package:
dpkg-buildpackage -us -uc -S
[...]
dpkg-source: warning: newly created empty file
'libclamav/libmspack-0.5alpha/NEWS' will not be represented in diff
[...]
