It looks the latest version of clamav for wheezy has the following issue:
despam@shakotay:~$ clamdscan /usr/share/clamav-testfiles/clam-v3.rar

In short, it does not detect the test virus. Having recently upgraded
from squeeze, I *think* that it was working before.
maybe a missing librar when compiling?

remove libclamunrar6 and install libclamunrar7 and then restart clamav.
