Package: libgtk2.0-0
Version: 2.8.16-1
Severity: normal

We have an in house application used by 12 simultaneous users (Xvnc
access).
After upgrading to gtk2.8, the system became unuseable because it was
too much loaded. Our analysis shows that the application + Xvnc use much
more CPU than with gtk2.6.
The main cause is scrolling, when changing the update policy to
discontinuous, the load went down as normal.
Something has changed in 2.8 that makes scrolling dead slow and cpu
intensive.

Hi,

I see, I will close the bug.

If somebody else can reproduce this with up to date GTK+ (2.12) it would
be interesting to compare different theme engines.
