Package: libeel2-2.20 Version: 2.20.0-3 Severity: normal Without explanation, eel2 (2.20.0-3) adds
* Recommend app-install-data and synaptic. libeel2-2.20 is a library! Why is it recommending applications? IMO it's perfectly reasonable to have libeel2-2.20 installed for e.g. gnome-mount without wanting or needing synaptic and app-install-data, so these packages SHOULD NOT be recommended by libeel2-2.20. Is there a good reason for this change? -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (990, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.22-3-amd64 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=en_AU.utf8, LC_CTYPE=en_AU.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages libeel2-2.20 depends on: ii libart-2.0-2 2.3.19-3 Library of functions for 2D graphi ii libatk1.0-0 1.20.0-1 The ATK accessibility toolkit ii libbonobo2-0 2.20.2-1 Bonobo CORBA interfaces library ii libc6 2.7-5 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libeel2-data 2.20.0-2 Eazel Extensions Library - data fi ii libgail-common 1.20.2-1 GNOME Accessibility Implementation ii libgail18 1.20.2-1 GNOME Accessibility Implementation ii libgconf2-4 2.20.1-2 GNOME configuration database syste ii libglade2-0 1:2.6.2-1 library to load .glade files at ru ii libglib2.0-0 2.14.4-2 The GLib library of C routines ii libgnome-menu2 2.20.2-1 an implementation of the freedeskt ii libgnome2-0 2.20.1.1-1 The GNOME 2 library - runtime file ii libgnomeui-0 2.20.1.1-1 The GNOME 2 libraries (User Interf ii libgnomevfs2-0 1:2.20.1-1 GNOME Virtual File System (runtime ii libgtk2.0-0 2.12.3-2 The GTK+ graphical user interface ii libpango1.0-0 1.19.2-1 Layout and rendering of internatio ii libx11-6 2:1.1.3-1 X11 client-side library ii libxml2 2.6.30.dfsg-3 GNOME XML library ii libxrender1 1:0.9.4-1 X Rendering Extension client libra libeel2-2.20 recommends no packages. -- no debconf information _______________________________________________ pkg-gnome-maintainers mailing list pkg-gnome-maintainers@lists.alioth.debian.org http://lists.alioth.debian.org/mailman/listinfo/pkg-gnome-maintainers
