Generally speaking, yes we need help with maintaining Java stuff. We are very few active members at the moment. If a package is outdated it is mostly due to lack of manpower. I don't know why checkstyle in experimental was not uploaded to unstable but if the new release doesn't break any reverse-dependencies we could upload it to unstable. Regards, Markus
