As it turned out, the debian-multimedia.org domain did get renewed, by Christian Marillat on 26-Apr-2013, according to whois, although www.debian-multimedia.org no longer has an A record.
Curiously though, http://debian-multimedia.org/ now serves a collection of rather dubious-looking content which I doubt is doing Debian's reputation a lot of good. What did the Debian project ever do to deserve this I wonder?
