If I had to guess I would think that you were mixing multiple releases
and/or external repositories that are not supposed to be mixed.

e.g in Debian/jessie libilmbase6 is a direct dependency of blender, and
apt does not even allow to install blender *without* libilmbase6.

"apt-cache policy pkgname" and a look into /etc/apt/sources.list should
allow to resolve your issues.
