Martin Panter added the comment: A while ago I wrote a patch targetting Issue 22359 that may be a starting point for “make regen”: <https://bugs.python.org/file42169/separate-regen.patch>. It pulled out three recipes into separate “phony” targets: “make graminit importlib importlib_external”.
