Barry A. Warsaw <ba...@python.org> added the comment: @ned.deily - are you proposing to officially deprecate it for 3.7? If we're going to do it, let's do it now so we can remove it for 3.9. It seems like a reasonable strategy to push folks toward cmd2 and clean up our stdlib.
