The PR fixes the problem exposed by TkinterCrash2-2.py and TkinterCrash3-2-2.py and only lacks an autotest (I asked for any ideas for it and got no response). Then I found another related bug (https://bugs.python.org/issue33257#msg315286 ) and though to fix it as well -- but it turned out to be deeper than expected.
