Also, the fourth problem you described is not entirely true, it is possible to run tkinter apps on IDLE without calling the mainloop function (see #989712). It is possible that this wasn't the case 4 years ago, I don't know, just pointing out the current situation.
I also don't understand how just moving event handling to Python will solve the problems. But maybe it could be good to add an option that would prevent calling EnableEventHook in _tkinter after loading tk, so the user could handle tk events and what not the way he whises. Is there anyone still interested on this ?
