I think your analysis is right. However, just for completeness I'll note that quorum doesn't need shared storage. To do drive-mirror without shared storage, what you do is run an NBD server on the destination and point mirroring on the source to the NBD server. Similarly, an NBD server on the secondary machine would let quorum do remote replication without shared storage. Paolo
