Don't lean into turns with the inside pedal near the ground" If the bike is firmly "in gear" the shifter can hardly be faulted for a ghost shift. The SR shifters do contribute to overall shifting dodgyness though. I've been riding for 50 years & raced MBs for 3. I am very well aware of how to corner. The pedal strikes in question typically happen over small rises in the pavement when I am turning gradually or not at all and really not expecting it; it's not a huge deal, just mildly annoying that my pedal or toe sometimes drags the ground. I imagine tandem riders probably have this same issue to a larger degree.
