causes the test failure. At the very least, I can see the unittests pass
without that specific commit. I suspect somehow different derby is picked up
and it behaves differently, which causes a test failure related - which is
pretty a Spark issue or misuse of restarting Hive session.
The test case fixes are actually more correct because it enables what it
needs.
