Pg does not accept this query;
```
postgres=# select sqrt(3);
sqrt
------------------
1.73205080756888
(1 row)
postgres=# select sqrt(-1);
ERROR: cannot take square root of a negative number
```
So, Another solution is to fail in analysis.
