Does it work as root? If yes, check permissions/hot-plug setup (README.debian). If not, send debug ouput from "scanimage -L" with these variables set: > export SANE_DEBUG_DLL=255 > export SANE_DEBUG_EPSON=255 > export SANE_DEBUG_SANEI_USB=10 Yes, this will produce debug output. If it doesn't, your SANE installation is severely broken. To reduce the amount of debug output you can disable everything but "epson" in dll.conf. Bye, Henning
