Based on the source code for the epkowa backend, it very much looks like
you cannot. There are some bits in epkowa_ip.c that refer to powering
off for interpreter controlled devices like the V37 but that is all in
USE_ALARM preprocessor #ifdef conditionals and USE_ALARM is not defined
anywhere.
You could try recompiling yourself with USE_ALARM defined but I have no
idea whether this works or not.
