EHS Incident Management Systems Consultant

JOB DETAILS
*       Type of assignment:  Contract only
*       Job basis:  Full time (40-45 hours/week)
*       Expected duration:  12-16 weeks
*       Desired start:  August 1, 2011 <x-apple-data-detectors://1> 

QUALIFICATIONS
*       Over 5 years of IT functional experience in the Environmental Health 
and Safety (EHS) Systems areas.
*       Experience with EHS processes and requirements in the Petro-Chemical or 
Refining industries.
*       Desired experience with EHS Incident Management processes and industry 
requirements for the following type of incidents:  Tier 1 & Tier 2, emission, 
motor vehicle, distribution, rail, NOE's/NOV's, safety              

         recordable, security, and first aid.
*       Over 3 years of IT Project Management experience utilizing standard 
project development methodologies.  Demonstrated ability to develop detailed 
action plans, estimate time requirements, schedule activities  

         and resources, and monitor the progress of tasks.
*       Demonstrated ability to coordinate, lead, and facilitate meetings 
amongst large groups of Business and IT resources to gather and summarize 
process and systems requirements, lead blueprinting sessions,  

         develop path forward plans, and document all discussions.
*       Demonstrated ability to communicate complex problems and issues in a 
concise manner (oral/written) to customers, peers, and upper management.
*       Extensive experience with the use of MS Project, Excel, Word, 
PowerPoint, and Outlook.
*       Ability to cooperate and work effectively in a group environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for leading a new EHS IT project during its initial phases of 
requirements definition, solution/vendor selection, and initial detailed 
project planning.  This goal of this project will be to deploy a Corporate Wide 
Standard EHS Incidents Management System.
*       Responsible for leading, facilitating, coordinating, and documenting 
all activities during the initial phases of this project working closely with 
all stakeholders as well as with EHS and IT management.
*       Responsible for developing and documenting a detailed recommendation 
with a specific software solution endorsed by all business and IT stake holders 
for a Corporate Wide Standard EHS Incidents Management System; this 
recommendation will be presented to upper management together with initial 
project plans and cost estimates to obtain an approval for expenditure for this 
project's implementation
