Candidate should have experience managing projects in the data warehouse space across multiple verticals. The person will manage multiple projects in support of a high visibility program. Program management experience a plus as well. *Resume required. References will be checked. * * * *Duties and responsibilities** *Manage software development and other projects in compliance with our product development lifecycle Focus on projects and subject matter areas covered by our Data Warehouse/Business Intelligence team, which comprises projects related to the finance, funds processing, and risk organizations *Job Detail *Manage software development and other projects. Help track project staff, determine project tasks, establish timelines, establish estimates-to-complete, prepare and communicate project statuses, identify and respond to risks and issues and manage change requests. Help keep project statuses on track by identifying, raising, and addressing project risks and issues Assist managers with team demand management. Help managers review that demand is being adequately captured and documented by BSAs; that commitment decisions are clear, documented, and communicated; and that project priorities are clear, documented, and communicated *Qualifications *Experience working multiple projects and programs, strong ability to multitask with proven track record of execution on initiatives/programs 5+ years overall professional work experience 2+ years experience as a project manager handling multiple simultaneous projects Demonstrated experience supporting a software development, data warehousing, or IT team Experienced with SDLC such as RUP, Agile and others Demonstrated experience supporting a finance or accounting G&A team or financial institution back-office technology team. Experienced using project management tools (e.g., Clarity or Microsoft Project) Conscientious, strong relationship management and team skills, flexible, attentive to detail and quality Strong communication skills verbal, written and interpersonal Business acumen in a number of areas such as marketing, sales, finance, compliance, operations, etc. Technical Acumen Ideally, they should be familiar and comfortable with following concepts: o Data movement: Databases (Oracle, DB2, Teradata), ETL (Informatica for example) and other Database tools and modelling environments o QA, environments, etc. o Infrastructure: Know about how to manage projects requiring server set-up, racking, powering, networking o Systems, Batch jobs, working with/managing DBAs, ETL Engineers, Tech Leads, Architects, Data Modellers, Data Analysts, System Admins, etc. o Business Intelligence Business Objects, Hyperion, MicroStrategy, Essbase, Cognos, Oracle, etc. managing dashboard, reporting systems and the like. *General Profile: *Previously worked in a highly cross functional setting and executed successfully on projects. Excellent communication ability and ability to present to upper management on project/program status. Education: BS or above *Generic Job Responsibilities *1. Drive execution of program by working directly with mangers, stake holders and steering committee members 2. Measure and monitor program progress to ensure delivery meets expectations 3. Foster open communication between project teams 4. Develop, design, and scope program level deliverables 5. Regularly report status to management, executive stakeholders and steering committees 6. Exhibit financial management skill by controlling expenses against budgeted amounts 7. Manage program level quality and risks 8. Manage stakeholders expectations and educational issues 9. Effectively manage issues and risks by identifying mitigation strategies and alternative solutions for consideration 10. Coordinate with members of the business to define and clarify program objectives 11. Evaluate and recommend appropriate solutions that satisfy the customer requirements, project needs, and IT architecture 12. Assist in project task delivery in support of the Planning Group 13.
