*Position*: Cognos Developer *Location*: Phila ,PA *Duration*: 6+ months contract to hire *face to face after a phone interview* 1. Strong background with development and supporting real-time Data Warehouse (DW) installations/operations. 1. Strong background with IBM Cognos BI technologies on version 8.4 or Higher on top of relational and ROLAP data sources with relational or DMR models objects. 1. Must be able to juggle multiple projects at one time. 2. Experience in design, implementation and support of Enterprise class Business Intelligence applications using IBM Cognos, Oracle BIEE, or Microsoft SQL Reporting Services. 3. Proficient with IBM Cognos Authoring Studios to create comprehensive business dashboards and reports. 4. Proficient in PL/SQL and Data Warehousing design and techniques using Oracle RDBMS. 5. Hands on experience with implementation of database schemas and stored procedures. Ability to provide database optimization and performance tuning guidance and support. 6. Must be willing and able to provide Administrative and technical support of the various Cognos BI and MS Web technologies. 7. Experience with Active Server Pages (ASP), Microsoft IIS, COM, Visual Basic/C#, Visual, Java Script/VB Script, HTML, DHTML, XML, and .NET Framework a plus 8. Experience in web based graphical user interface development (XHTML, DHMTL, XML, JavaScript, etc.) a plus. 9. Experience with design and implementation of enterprise class models on relational and ROLAP data sources using IBM Cognos Framework manager. 10. Strong understanding of change control impact analysis of database or other related changes on other systems and applications Primary duties will include, but not be limited to, analysis, development, implementation, and support of data warehouse initiatives, using IBM Cognos 10.x BI platform on Oracle RDBMS, MS SQL or TM1 data sources. The candidate will have knowledge of Business Intelligence methodologies, along with experience in the implementation of Enterprise Data Warehousing data integration, data staging and the real-time updating of data warehouses. The candidate is expected to work within a group to development, testing and maintaining of databases and application programs. This individual will be expected to perform data analysis and document information flows using Clients templates and interface document specifications for both internal and vendor-provided systems and tools. Position responsibilities may include assisting the team with data analysis and support of existing internal and vendor-interfacing systems and processes. Duties will include troubleshooting application issues, application upgrade projects, and providing insight on newer reporting technologies to help drive efficient information delivery.
