Client located in downtown Kansas City, MO to identify for a 3+ month contract, a Java Developer Responsible for designing and building N tier web based applications. Responsible for one or more technical aspects of development. Must understand the client server model and be able to develop interconnect programs that are distributed efficiently across different locations. Responsibilities include coding, testing, modifying, debugging, enhanced or purchased systems based on the business requirements, technical specifications and standards. Sold understanding of software development life cycle along with 3-tiered application architecture. Understanding of Object-Oriented (OO) languages and tools. 2+ years experience developing Java web applications Java 1.6, Servlet spec, JSP, JDBC JavaScript, AJAX, CSS, web standards XML, HTML, DHTML Working knowledge of databases such as MS-SQL, Oracle 2+ years experience in system analysis, design and programming experience. Experience in client server and web environments, relational database technology, and development of interface software. Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills. Demonstrated and effective time management, organizational, prioritization, and planning skills. Demonstrated decision making, analytical and problem solving skills. Ability to develop creative solutions to assigned projects. Ability to work in a team environment with limited supervision.
