Cisco Engineer with Perl Needed Location: Glen Allen, VA Duration: 10 months Rate: $50/hr *Required Skills:* -Experience Level: 4 yr degree plus -Responsible for developing scripts using Perl or similar scripting language to construct scripts that will automate various network configuration changes. -We are looking for someone who has some experience automating Cisco IOS sessions using perl scripts. -Solid knowledge of good programming practices and principles is a must. Should be able to work with a unix shell account. -Due to the purpose of these scripts, should be experienced with configuring and troubleshooting Cisco IOS router and switch configurations. -Familiarity with Cisco 2821, 3845, 6500 and 7200 routers and Cisco 2960, 3560, 3750, 4500, and 6500 switches, MPLS across a variety of WAN transports such as frame-relay, MLPPP, DS3, and OC3is desired. -Strong BGP and OSPF skills is a plus!
