Role:       *Big Data Architect*

Location:  Jersey City, NJ

*Overview:*

The Data Architect will work with large Financial datasets and will
translate business requirements into specific systems, applications, or
process designs for large complex IT solutions while integrating IT and
business architectures. Participation and contribution is also expected in
the areas of data usage and governance, SOA, data analytics, information
management, information modeling and privacy and security. *The candidate
will be assisting the team to design a solid Big Data Data structure to
support the security requirements.*

*Responsibilities:*

1.     Oversee the mapping of data sources, data movement, interfaces with
the goal of ensuring data quality.

1.     *Expertise in Data architecture, for large complex organization and
systems and implemented large scale end to end data management solutions
for more than one large client. *

2.     *Create and maintain data model and metadata policies and procedures
for functional design*

3.     *Expertise with normalized OLTP, MDM and dimensional modeling
techniques, star & snowflake schemas, dimensional hierarchies, and data
classification*

4.     *Address data related problems in regards to systems integration,
compatibility and multiple-platform integration.*

5.     *Develop and implement key components as needed to create testing
criteria in order to guarantee the fidelity and performance of data
architecture.*

2.     Collaborate with project leads, data stewards, and enterprise data
architecture for all projects involving plan/product, client and
customer/coverage data in support of enterprise solutions.

3.     Provide technical recommendations and engage with Solution
Architects, Business SME’S, Systems Analysts and other stakeholders
throughout the implementation lifecycle and recommend effective solutions
to develop high performance and highly scalable data solution (data
marts/warehouse and data mining).

4.     Document the project and programs data architecture and environment
in order to maintain a current and accurate view of the larger data
picture, an environment that supports a single version of the truth and is
scalable to support future analytical needs.

5.     Identify and develop opportunities for data reuse, migration, or
retirement and platform upgrades.

6.     Communicate with customer, project team in a timely manner and
escalates issues and risks appropriately
