Responsibilities
• Query and mine large data sets, connecting data from
disparate sources to identify insights and patterns
• Perform detailed quality checking and cross-referencing of
data with past analysis, business and industry knowledge
• Prepare, format, and clean data for analysis, adhering to
strict quality control procedures to ensure accuracy of the analysis
• Conduct descriptive statistical analysis, such as
frequencies and cross-tabulations
• Conduct intermediate statistical analysis, such as linear
regression, time-series analysis, and classification models, with guidance
• Summarize findings in written and verbal reports to key
stakeholders
• Create and maintain dashboard-level reporting, with emphasis
on accurate and compelling data visualization
• Assist in preparing and presenting complex data
visualizations, written and verbal reports, and presentations
Desired skills and experience
• Bachelor’s or master’s (preferred) degree in Mathematics,
Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a quantitative discipline
• Experience querying and mining large data sets using
statistical software, such as R, Python, SAS, or SPSS with prior exposure
to predictive modeling
• Excel and PowerPoint a must; some programming experience
required
• Significant coursework or prior work experience in
Statistics, with exposure to data structures and data visualization
• Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Conceptual thinker with ability to discover patterns
• Strong interpersonal, leadership, communication, and
collaboration skills
