Sir... we have the same problem.
This bug also occur on my IBM ThinkPad R31 (2656-L6U)... may workaround
is to disable Compiz.
I was pissed at first but it solved the problem. Try it and let see if
it works for you.

If you read the changelog you will notice the word Fakesync which
means manal upload, just changing the changelog entry (and maintainer
field) - this is necessary when for example the .orig.tar.gz between

I have had recent loss of responsiveness in fifefox-3.0b5. Today I
experienced about three minutes of non-repsonsiveness with high CPU load
of about 70% and disk I/O. It seems that this time the file
places.sqlite
is being written to. It size is currently
8626176 2008-05-26 14:13 places.sqlite
I also have just had this issue running Ubuntu 8.04 for x86.

Hi there!
I have found a strange but annoying bug since I work with Hardy (I didn't have
this problem in Feisty). First I thought it was related to kdm4 but I changed
it back to kdm and it is still there. The desktop I use is kde3 (though I have
kde4 installed as well).
