Removing Scala 2.11 currently seems to be uncontroversial. I agree with tison's 
point of keeping the Scala version suffix of StreamPark modules, as it is a 
historical naming convention for releasing Scala libraries.

It is worth mentioning that although Flink 1.15 is still compiled based on 
Scala 2.12, it already supports code invocation in Scala 2.13 & Scala 3. This 
means that if StreamPark sets its minimum supported Flink version at 1.15, then 
StreamPark itself can smoothly upgrade to either Scala 2.13 or Scala 3 (Scala 3 
is compatible with 2.13, which is another rare good news).

Re: [Discussion] Upgrading JDK to 11 and removing support for Scala 2.11

I also support the proposal to upgrade to JDK 11, the feasibility of which was 
discussed in an earlier thread [1], but note that we may be stuck with JDK 11 
for a longer period of time in the future, as Flink's support for JDK 17 [2] is 
still a work in progress.

To clarify: earlier versions of armie did use the SIGILL trap-and-emulate
method, which was limited. Recent versions, including the latest release are
based on the DynamoRIO platform which enables full emulation and
instrumentation (https://dynamorio.org). By default, DynamoRIO and by extension
armie, follow all child processes, see
https://dynamorio.org/page_deploy.html#op_children.

As new Arm architecture features are added to QEMU, e.g. SVE, SVE2, SME etc.
there is an expectation in the Arm community that QEMU can run large Arm
user-space applications on Arm hardware, making lack of same-on-same execve a
not insignificant blocker.

AIUI, given the open-source licensing of QEMU and DynamoRIO, there would be no
legal reason for QEMU not to borrow from DynamoRIO.

I have problem with message windows since v.9.2 I use IMAP 4. Opening message window it opens for a millisecond on the front and after goes to the back under other windows. I installed a fresh copy of TB on another machine but I have the same behaviour. Clearing cache helps for a while but it still appears twice, first a flash and then sometimes on top (10%) sometimes under other opened windows (90%). Switching to last v.9.1.18.2 helps, works normally. Any idea what is going on?




    I have same problem with pop. Happens mainly with HTML messages.

Template to clean subject

I'm  using the following template to clean subject line. It works well
until  a subject starts with a square bracket. For example, if a subject
looks  something  like this '[Re: Hello]', the template does not
work.  I  receive a lot of messages which start with square bracket in
my work. Thanks in advance.

This is only anecdotal, but in my experience the MW user configuration 
(here specifically I mean Special:Preferences, the main space for 
user-facing knobs and levers) isn't much of a problem. My anecdotal 
experience comes from introducing decidedly non-IT technical users to 
the system.


If anything, new user confusion comes mainly from digesting the MW 
content architecture; we use Semantic Forms for example, and the notion 
that a template and a form are wiki pages just like any page in the main 
namespace, and associated notions like checking the page history for a 
form is something I've seen give more confusion. It's apparently 
something of a mental transition when you're used to a more traditional 
CMS. (Just to be clear, I'm not saying anything needs to be fixed in 
this regard, I'm mentioning it for contrast against current 
complexity/simplicity of user configuration in MW.)


The UI for user configuration? they don't bat an eye.

Even outside Special:Preferences, I can't really see any user-facing UI 
elements (knobs and levers) which would be nice to hide or abstract out.


I wouldn't be surprised if someone smarter than me can follow up with 
strong examples of unnecessary config, but I'm generally wary of making 
things simpler than they need to be.
