[USRP-users] Re: Sharing one UHD device across multiple hosts
Perhaps consider having a virtual machine (VM) act as the go-between? The VM talks directly to the device via UHD, but then provides its own API that splits out the streams/sessions to clients running elsewhere. You'd have to write some code, of course; but presumably you could implement something similar to UHD, so the clients would appear to be talking to the device directly, other than some home-brew way of selecting the device/session. The USRP N2xx has an "alternative stream destination" API, but that did not make it into future USRPs as far as I know. ___ USRP-users mailing list -- usrp-users@lists.ettus.com To unsubscribe send an email to usrp-users-le...@lists.ettus.com ___ USRP-users mailing list -- usrp-users@lists.ettus.com To unsubscribe send an email to usrp-users-le...@lists.ettus.com
[USRP-users] Re: Issues running generated GNU Radio ".py" file on E310 (Embedded Mode)
ssh into the radio run python >>> import sys >>> sys.path ['', '/usr/lib/python37.zip', '/usr/lib/python3.7', '/usr/lib/python3.7/lib-dynload', '/usr/lib/python3.7/site-packages'] >>> quit() For each path reported by sys.path, search for the gnuradio package, on my radio it shows up here: root@ni-e31x-313C4FB:~# find /usr/lib/python3.7 -iname gnu\* /usr/lib/python3.7/dbm/gnu.py /usr/lib/python3.7/dbm/__pycache__/gnu.cpython-37.pyc /usr/lib/python3.7/dbm/__pycache__/gnu.cpython-37.opt-2.pyc /usr/lib/python3.7/dbm/__pycache__/gnu.cpython-37.opt-1.pyc /usr/lib/python3.7/site-packages/gnuradio /usr/lib/python3.7/site-packages/gnuradio/gru/gnuplot_freqz.py /usr/lib/python3.7/site-packages/gnuradio/gru/gnuplot_freqz.pyo /usr/lib/python3.7/site-packages/gnuradio/gru/gnuplot_freqz.pyc /usr/lib/python3.7/site-packages/numpy/distutils/fcompiler/gnu.py /usr/lib/python3.7/site-packages/numpy/distutils/fcompiler/__pycache__/gnu.cpython-37.pyc so either: · you don’t have gnuradio in site-packages · site-package/gnuradio isn’t in your Python path I burned this image to my e310 literally in the last couple days, I used uhd_images_downloader and just burned whatever it gave me onto the SD card. I think it’s possible you could use Python/pip to install the gnuradio package directly from your ssh session – just like installing any Python package? I’m currently using a newly flashed a SD image (e3xx_e310_sg3_sdimg_default-v4.4.0.0-rc1). From a version check it shows that both UHD and GNU Radio is installed on my E310 image. [BD] Bristol winter league
This has beenin the pipeline for a few months but now seems like the ideal time to let people know about and get some questions, replies and comments. This was originally meant to go out to team conacts but putting it on Britdisc seems easier so just ignore most of the 3rd paragraph. Bristol Area Winter League (BAWL) 2002/2003 Following on from the success of the London Winter league that had two eight team divisions for most of the winter, enabling clubs to train at a high standard over the winter and improve on their performance for the following tour as well as keeping players fit over the off season. I am hoping to organise a similar winter league for teams in the south west area. The idea is to encourage outdoor play during the winter and foster greater interaction and communication between local geographical teams and players of all abilities. I hope to put on a friendly once a month event that allows players and teams to develop and hone their play during the normally barren winter months. Why am I telling you, well because you were down as a team contact on the UKUltimate site, sorry! If you are no longer the team contact please pass this message on to who ever is and to players who may train with you but play for somebody else. I would like to gauge you and your teams interest and gather any ideas or suggestions you might have about such a league. For example if you know of a cheap and flat venue that can take four pitches then please let me know. I envisaged it running roughly once a month, say a Sunday, over the winter, starting in October, continuing in November, taking a break over December, to return in January, hotting up in February (!) and finishing with a finals of some sort in March. I hope that we can run a loosely co-ed team format (maybe a 5-2 split), the first event may be a hat tournament to gauge interest. Hopefully if there is sufficient demand it will develop into a Co-ed team format for the remainder of the winter. The venue likely to be the downs in Bristol, although open to alternative suggestions as its not ideal, I will be getting in touch with the council about having pitches marked out, so there is likely to be a nominal charge. I would like to start in October because this will give the students a chance to get back and settled with their relevant clubs. I thought perhaps Sunday October 20th could be the first session, aiming to start at 10am and finish at about 4 or 5pm, giving plenty of transport time and nobody has to get up too early. If you and your team are interested in such a venture or know of individual players who may be then please get in touch and register your interest. Hope to see you in Bristol soon Pete Coy (Un Poco Loco #7) Stuart Austin (Un Poco Loco #4) Self-appointed BAWL co-ordinators.
