Fedora 37 Update: dwarves-1.25-1.fc37
Fedora Update Notification FEDORA-2023-48cbfec7a5 2023-04-19 02:52:45.772714 Name: dwarves Product : Fedora 37 Version : 1.25 Release : 1.fc37 URL : http://acmel.wordpress.com Summary : Debugging Information Manipulation Tools (pahole & friends) Description : dwarves is a set of tools that use the debugging information inserted in ELF binaries by compilers such as GCC, used by well known debuggers such as GDB, and more recent ones such as systemtap. Utilities in the dwarves suite include pahole, that can be used to find alignment holes in structs and classes in languages such as C, C++, but not limited to these. It also extracts other information such as CPU cacheline alignment, helping pack those structures to achieve more cache hits. These tools can also be used to encode and read the BTF type information format used with the Linux kernel bpf syscall, using 'pahole -J' and 'pahole -F btf'. A diff like tool, codiff can be used to compare the effects changes in source code generate on the resulting binaries. Another tool is pfunct, that can be used to find all sorts of information about functions, inlines, decisions made by the compiler about inlining, etc. One example of pfunct usage is in the fullcircle tool, a shell that drivers pfunct to generate compileable code out of a .o file and then build it using gcc, with the same compiler flags, and then use codiff to make sure the original .o file and the new one generated from debug info produces the same debug info. Pahole also can be used to use all this type information to pretty print raw data according to command line directions. Headers can have its data format described from debugging info and offsets from it can be used to further format a number of records. The btfdiff utility compares the output of pahole from BTF and DWARF to make sure they produce the same results. Update Information: New release: v1.25, needed to build the kernel with binutils 2.40 ChangeLog: * Mon Apr 10 2023 Arnaldo Carvalho de Melo - 1.25-1 - New release: v1.25 - Support for DW_TAG_unspecified_type more generally. - Make sure struct member offsets are in ascending order. Rust BTF needs this. - Support C atomic types (DW_TAG_atomic_type). - Initial support for DW_TAG_LLVM_annotation, used for BTF type tags, for __rcu, __user, etc - Exclude functions with the same name (static functions in different CUs), inconsistent prototypes or not following calling convention. - Allow generation of BTF for optimized functions, those that end with a .isra*, .constprop*. - Support 'pahole --lang=/--lang_exclude=asm' - Support --compile from DWARF in addition to from BTF. - Exclude RUST CUs in 'btfdiff', as those are not yet being BTF encoded. Fedora Update Notification FEDORA-2023-4154b33575 2023-04-19 01:38:17.099587 Name: zabbix Product : Fedora 38 Version : 6.0.16 Release : 1.fc38 URL : https://www.zabbix.com Summary : Open-source monitoring solution for your IT infrastructure Description : Zabbix is software that monitors numerous parameters of a network and the health and integrity of servers. Zabbix uses a flexible notification mechanism that allows users to configure e-mail based alerts for virtually any event. This allows a fast reaction to server problems. Zabbix offers excellent reporting and data visualization features based on the stored data. This makes Zabbix ideal for capacity planning. Zabbix supports both polling and trapping. All Zabbix reports and statistics, as well as configuration parameters are accessed through a web-based front end. A web-based front end ensures that the status of your network and the health of your servers can be assessed from any location. Properly configured, Zabbix can play an important role in monitoring IT infrastructure. This is equally true for small organizations with a few servers and for large companies with a multitude of servers. Fedora Update Notification FEDORA-2023-32bb404d40 2023-04-19 01:38:17.099534 Name: python-graph-tool Product : Fedora 38 Version : 2.53 Release : 1.fc38 URL : https://graph-tool.skewed.de/ Summary : Efficient network analysis tool written in Python Description : Graph-tool is an efficient Python module for manipulation and statistical analysis of graphs (a.k.a. networks). Contrary to most other python modules with similar functionality, the core data structures and algorithms are implemented in C++, making extensive use of template metaprogramming, based heavily on the Boost Graph Library. Fedora 38 Update: php-netresearch-jsonmapper-4.2.0-1.fc38
Fedora Update Notification FEDORA-2023-d15acf81c1 2023-04-19 01:38:17.099487 Name: php-netresearch-jsonmapper Product : Fedora 38 Version : 4.2.0 Release : 1.fc38 URL : https://github.com/cweiske/jsonmapper Summary : Map nested JSON structures onto PHP classes Description : Takes data retrieved from a JSON web service and converts them into nested object and arrays - using your own model classes. Starting from a base object, it maps JSON data on class properties, converting them into the correct simple types or objects. It's a bit like the native SOAP parameter mapping PHP's SoapClient gives you, but for JSON. It does not rely on any schema, only your PHP class definitions. Type detection works by parsing @var docblock annotations of class properties, as well as type hints in setter methods. You do not have to modify your model classes by adding JSON specific code; it works automatically by parsing already-existing docblocks. Autoloader: /usr/share/php/netresearch/jsonmapper/autoload.php Update Information: ** Version 4.2.0** * Add support for backed enums * Undefined property handler may return string to override variable name * Support ArrayAccess instead of only ArrayObject * map() supports class names as 2nd parameter now * Add support for variadic method arguments in setters ChangeLog: * Tue Apr 11 2023 Remi Collet - 4.2.0-1 - update to 4.2.0 This update can be installed with the "dnf" update program. Fedora 38 Update: dwarves-1.25-1.fc38
Fedora Update Notification FEDORA-2023-539272d266 2023-04-19 01:38:17.099402 Name: dwarves Product : Fedora 38 Version : 1.25 Release : 1.fc38 URL : http://acmel.wordpress.com Summary : Debugging Information Manipulation Tools (pahole & friends) Description : dwarves is a set of tools that use the debugging information inserted in ELF binaries by compilers such as GCC, used by well known debuggers such as GDB, and more recent ones such as systemtap. Surprise! Fedora Linux 38 is here!
Fedora Linux 38 is coming to you a week early! Our release schedule has two dates: a main target date (which you should usually expect) and an "early" target (which is is kind of like the thing where you set your clock five minutes early so you're not late). This time around, thanks to the hard work of our amazing community, we've met our release criteria at the early target, so we're releasing today! And that's not all! We have a shiny new website built by our amazing Websites & Apps team. The "getfedora.org" address you may be familiar with will still work, but will take you right to the new site at fedoraproject.org. Read the details in our Fedora Magazine article at: * https://fedoramagazine.org/announcing-fedora-38 or download install media from: * https://fedoraproject.org/ or, of course, just upgrade your already-installed systems, which shouldn't take much longer than brewing and enjoying a nice cup of coffee.
