The database server is hosted on Windows Server 2003 R2 Enterprise Edition SP2. The host has 16CPUs and 16GB RAM. The database is approximately 1TB in size. Data is hosted on an EMC CX3-20 with many Raid Groups and LUNs. These are mounted as NTFS filesystems to the windows server. The database is accessed via a single Oracle instance. The instance is configured to use AWE and is sized with a 10GB buffer cache. Data guard is used to provide four physical standby databases. Three of these are local (hosts accessed via a LAN from the primary host) and one is accessed via a WAN at an off-site location. One of the local standby databases is in managed mode and actively applies the received archive logs. The others apply the logs during a maintenance window the early am hours. The primary database is online 24X7 with occasional offline maintenance scheduled as needed during off-peak hours. 9i RAC has been explored but never put into production. OEM is not used. Database monitoring is performed using Quest Spotlight on Oracle along with home-grown SQL “capture” scripts. Estimate project requirements internally and externally (internal staffing, client and vendor resources, etc.) Troubleshoot technical problems and conduct analyses for efficient program/ application solutions which support client business processes and functional requirements. Qualifications/Skills: Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience 4 - 6 years experience in the design and development of complex applications. (Preferably in the Contact Centers) Advanced knowledge (broad expertise or unique knowledge) of policies, practices and systems Preferred knowledge of Kaiser?s business across all infrastructure areas required. Strong understanding of Software Development Lifecycles Strong written, oral communication, analytical, organizational and interpersonal skills Must have a positive attitude and the ability to work and communicate with clients, other IT staff, vendors, external partners, System Integrators etc. Ability to maintain standards, prioritize project work to meet customer?s needs. Experience in implementing CRM, BPM and other Contact Center application systems (i.e. Pegasystems, Chordiant). Ability to perform software design and development experience to include RAD, RUP, CVM framework. Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with limited supervision. Experience in the Healthcare industry/domain. Familiarity with Mainframe, UNIX and Windows systems architecture. Experience with Databases: Oracle, DB2, Application and Web Server technologies. Familiarity with any Kaiser applications is beneficial. Must have experience in designing/developing SOAP based web services, amber point proxy configuration, J2EE architecture, JSP, Java Script, .NET and CSS. Experience with ETL processes and working with Data ware house OLAP application such as Merced or Business objects is desired. Proficient with Oracle PL/SQL development and Unix shell scripting.
