Re: [Debconf-team] Subsidised bar prices

The hostel (Jugendherberge in German) is part of a group of hostels that have this policy, i.e. the policy comes from above and is not something that can be changed. We did not decide on this policy, we can only accept it, the same way that we could only accept this year that there were certain places were drinking was not allowed. We got them to agree on letting us do the Cheese Wine party, and in general they most likely won't be in our way if we want to bring something inconspicuous in, but if we bring a noticeable amount of food or drinks, it could be a problem. As mentioned, €3 for a half-liter beer in a bar is quite a good price. If you were to go to a supermarket and buy beer yourself, you would get it a bit cheaper, but you would not have a place to keep it cold. We will also make sure that they provide a variety of snacks at a decent price, so that people don't feel the need to buy them outside. If there is a particular snack or beverage that people think might be important to provide for at the bar, please let us know so that we can make sure it's available. -- Besos, Marga ___ Debconf-team mailing list Debconf-team@lists.debconf.org http://lists.debconf.org/mailman/listinfo/debconf-team

[Debconf-team] Question about a video from DebConf Portland 2014
Greetings, I've asked this in the #debian channel on the Freenode IRC network but so far I haven't gotten an answer so I thought I'd try this email address. There is a video I'm interested in that was recently posted: http://meetings-archive.debian.net/pub/debian-meetings/2014/debconf14/webm/A_glimpse_into_a_systemd_future.webm It has a number of spots in the playback where it jumpy / scrambled. I was hoping that a copy of this video exists that doesn't contain the bad spots as I doubt the original source recording is in webm format. While I do prefer webm over other container / codecs... I really don't care what format a good copy is in. I'm guessing you are the right person to ask about this but perhaps you know who is? Re: [Debconf-team] Question about a video from DebConf Portland 2014
There is #debconf-video for next time, but for now this is fine. What you reported is known The first instance of the problem I found is at 2:45 until 3:00 in the talk (and I think a few other spots) I'll have it fixed Monday when the truck with machines with .dv files arrive.
