Source: atril Severity: wishlist Dear Maintainer, a new 'trim margin' feature for the 'View' menu would be a great improvment of Atril. Bug#857540: scite: Scroll bar not moving when scrolling
Package: scite Version: 3.7.2-1 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer, currently the scroll bar for vertical scrolling is not (always) working like intended, the bar to grab for scrolling with the mouse (often) does not change according to the length of scrolling and/or does not (visible) move up/down while scrolling, be it when jumping to another place in the file through moving in the text, or be it while pulling on the grabbing part of the scroll bar. It is a bit hard to describe when exactly this happens: - open small document (no need for scrolling), open large document → works at first, might stop working when changing window size - open large document through double click → does not work (mostly), sometimes works first, than stops working after changing window size, or the other way round, starts working after resizing the window Would be happy if that could be fixed (using IceWM here, if that matters), Thanks -- System Information: Debian Release: 9.0 APT prefers testing-proposed-updates APT policy: (500, 'testing-proposed-updates'), (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'proposed-updates'), (500, 'oldstable-updates'), (500, 'oldoldstable'), (500, 'testing'), (500, 'stable'), (500, 'oldstable'), (200, 'unstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 3.16.0-4-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=de_DE.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=de_DE.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages scite depends on: ii libatk1.0-0 2.22.0-1 ii libc62.24-9 ii libcairo21.14.8-1 ii libgcc1 1:6.3.0-6 ii libgdk-pixbuf2.0-0 2.36.4-1 ii libglib2.0-0 2.50.2-2 ii libgtk-3-0 3.22.7-2 ii libpango-1.0-0 1.40.3-3 ii libpangocairo-1.0-0 1.40.3-3 ii libstdc++6 6.3.0-6 scite recommends no packages. scite suggests no packages. -- Configuration Files: /etc/scite/others.properties changed [not included] -- no debconf information

Bug#780501: lyx: Initial upcoming 'splash' document in most languages not easily compilable
Package: lyx Version: 2.1.3-1 Severity: important LyX can in some cases not generate the Introduction document shown on first start, if the user has the 'wrong' language environment set up on the system. This could easily lead to users abandoning LyX as unusable. This is caused by babel, as the texlive-lang-* package for the users language environment is not always installed by default when installing LyX. On my system this was the case with the german language environment (only configured locale: de_DE.UTF-8) Following try showed up the (here) other problematic languages: $ cd /usr/share/lyx/examples $ for d in [a-z][a-z]; do LANG=$d lyx --export pdf2 $d/splash.lyx $d.log; done $ grep exit code 1 *.log | cut -d : -f 1 ca.log cs.log da.log el.log es.log eu.log fa.log fr.log gl.log he.log hu.log id.log it.log ('ja' did also not compile but grep failed to get the japanese error message) ko.log nl.log pl.log pt.log ro.log ru.log sk.log sl.log sr.log sv.log uk.log LyX should maybe – if possible – (at least) recommend some texlive-lang-* package for the user's locale, so that the first LyX document the users see after installation is at least compilable. (After having installed 'texlive-lang-german' the problem has been fixed here.)
