Bug#574805: Powertop reports incorrect wattage

2010-11-27 Thread Lubos Rendek
Same problem on my X60S thinkpad laptop.

Wakeups-from-idle per second : 653.9interval: 10.0s
Power usage (ACPI estimate): 213.0W (0.2 hours) (long term: 14.8W,/3.
1h)

uname -a
Linux x60s 2.6.32-5-686 #1 SMP Sat Oct 30 22:47:19 UTC 2010 i686 GNU/Linux

KDE4 battery monitor seems to report correct values.

I'm not sure what had changed but I had no problem with lenny.

Bug#577150: kpowersave: Disables special sleep and hibernate keys

2010-04-09 Thread Lubos Rendek
Package: kpowersave
Version: 0.7.3-3
Severity: important

*** Please type your report below this line ***
After installation and start of kpowersave a kpowersave application
renders special keys fn+F4 ( sleep )
and fn+F12 ( hibernate ) on laptop x60s thinkpad non-functional.

right click on kpowersave icon and hibernate to disk generates a following
message in /var/log/auth.log

Apr 10 03:27:57 x60s dbus-daemon: Rejected send message, 3 matched rules;

destination=org.freedesktop.Hal (uid=0 pid=2570 comm=/usr/sbin/hald ))

To make special keys fn+F4 ( sleep ) and fn+F12 ( hibernate ) functional
again user must quit a kpowersave application.

Bug#574695: wink: segmentation fault error

2010-03-21 Thread Lubos Rendek
UPDATE:

Almost solved. This problem occurs when user wish to stop editing a label
text. In order to resume to wink main interface user needs to click on the
image white space.

This text label editing exercise is not very intuitive and could be
improved by letting user to click on the thumbnails below to resume to to
winks main interface.

However this bug is more a design problem and its importance should be
reduces or marked as solved as it does not affect wink's main
functionality.

Bug#552299: forcedeth: nVidia MCP55 ethernet and forcedeth module - fails to connect

2009-10-25 Thread Lubos Rendek
Package: linux-image-2.6.26-2-686
Version: 2.6.26-19lenny1
Severity: important
File: forcedeth

Debian 5.0 netinstall problem with network cards build-in on motherboard
P5N32-E SLI. forcedeth module loaded, however both network interfaces fail
to connect to LAN. Pinging loopback interface works. Anything outside the
network card is unreachable. Quick solution to this problem is to use
modprobe during the installation process ( ALT+F2 ) to remove forcedeth
module and load it back with forcedeth msi=0 msix=0.
