Bug#638669: gnome-commander: Gnome Commander segfaults when adding a program to other favorite apps

2011-08-20 Thread Mikhail Ramendik
Package: gnome-commander
Version: 1.2.8.6-3
Severity: normal

Steps to reproduce:

- Start Gnome Commander
- In the main menu, select Settings Options
- Select Programs tab
- Under Other favorite apps, click Add
- Enter a label and a command
- Click OK

Gnome-commander segfaults.

It might be relevant to the issue that I am not using Gnome as my environment.
I am using IceWM and just start gnome-commander from the command line or icewm
menu.

Bug#553097: cups: Cancellation of job causes printer stop, page not ejected

2009-10-29 Thread Mikhail Ramendik
Package: cups
Version: 1.3.8-1+lenny6
Severity: normal

I have an HP DeskJet F2280 (USB); the driver is HP DeskJet 2200 Series.

When I cancelled a job, I found that the printer simly stopped printing
in the middle of the page. The page did not get ejected.

Therefore, I had to manipulate the printer manually before I could
start the next job.

Bug#553098: cups: Web configuration should include reverse page order

2009-10-29 Thread Mikhail Ramendik
Package: cups
Version: 1.3.8-1+lenny6
Severity: wishlist

Ink jet printers often need reverse page order to produce correctly ordered
stacks.

I could not find this setting on the Web config (localhost:631). I was able
to set it using lpadmin.

I suggest adding the setting to the Web config as this is often needed.

Bug#549663: libxine1-misc-plugins: MPEG2TS subtitles overlap

2009-10-05 Thread Mikhail Ramendik
Package: libxine1-misc-plugins
Version: 1.1.14-6
Severity: normal

I use kaffeine, with the xine backend, to watch DVB-S. I found that
subtitles displayed close one after another (for example, if person
speak fast one after another) vertically overlap, making the lower one
unreadable.

I reproduced the issue in xine-ui when playing a recorded MPEG2
stream, so this is a xine issue not a kaffeine specific one.

I can make a test stream available for download if necessary.

Bug#549663: libxine1-misc-plugins: MPEG2TS subtitles overlap

2009-10-05 Thread Mikhail Ramendik
009/10/5 Darren Salt li...@youmustbejoking.demon.co.uk:

There have been some changes to the DVB subtitles code since 1.1.14, so you
should try 1.1.16.3 first. If that also shows the problem, a short(ish) test
 file would be helpful.

I have rolled my own backport of 1.1.16.3 from squeeze.

The issue is apparently gone. At least, these particular symptoms are
no longer appearing on the same test; a check on live TV shows a good
result too.

Please close this bug as fixed in a later version.

Bug#498915: xkb-data: Non-breakable spaces in Russian layout

2008-09-14 Thread Mikhail Ramendik
Package: xkb-data
Version: 1.3-2
Severity: normal
Tags: l10n

I have a Russian keyboard layout enable on an en_IE.UTF-8 locale. Here
are the lines from /etc/X11/xorg.conf:

Option XkbRules xorg
Option XkbModel pc105
Option XkbLayout ie,ru
Option XKbOptionsgrp:alt_shift_toggle,grp_led:scroll

All spaces entered in the Russian layout are non-breakable spaces; this is
seen in applications like iceweasel and openoffice.org . In the Irish layout
spaces are normal.

I have found a workaround; adding ,nbsp:none to the XKbOptions line allows
me to work as normal.

Filing bug against xkb-data as this is probably a keyboard layout data issue.
In particular, I suspect it has to do with the following line in
/usr.share.x11.xkb.symbols:

key.type[group1]=TWO_LEVEL;

Bug#498306: swfdec: autoplay not available

2008-09-08 Thread Mikhail Ramendik
Package: swfdec-mozilla
Version: 0.6.0-4
Severity: normal

In iceweasel, every Flash on every site is a gray Play button. This makes

An autoplay setting is apparently not available. At the very least it is not in

Bug#495384: network-manager-gnome: sometimes waits indefinitely for network key until one removes wireless entry

2008-08-16 Thread Mikhail Ramendik
Package: network-manager-gnome
Version: 0.6.6-2
Severity: important

In my setup, there is one wireless network with WPA-Personal authorization and
a password. This network is saved
in the wireless networks list of gnome network manager (nm-applet, started
under icewm).

Most of the time it connects fine. But occasionally, it will fail to
autoconnect. Then when I try to connect
manually, it shows the connecting state and never connects. The mouse-over
hint says waiting for network key.
Trying again, or rebooting, does not fix the issue - it still can not connect.

If I go into the network list, remove the network, reboot, and try again, it
connects fine - and will work again
for some time, intil the next similar failure.

Bug#415099: nvidia-glx: glx xorg module fails to load, reports undefined symbol in log

2007-03-15 Thread Mikhail Ramendik
Package: nvidia-glx
Version: 1.0.8776-4
Severity: important

On an Etch system freshly upgraded from Sarge, I installed
linux-image-2.6.18-4-686 from Etch and, on rebooting, followed the
Debian wiki to install the nvidia driver (using module-assistant for the
kernel module)

The kernel module loads OK, and X starts OK. But any OpenGL program
segfaults immediately.

/var/log/Xorg.0.log has the following:

(II) LoadModule: glx
(II) Loading /usr/lib/xorg/modules/extensions/libglx.so
dlopen: /usr/lib/libGLcore.so.1: undefined symbol: _nv40gl
(EE) Failed to load /usr/lib/xorg/modules/extensions/libglx.so
(II) UnloadModule: glx
