Bug#1005886: additional info

2022-02-16 Thread Tony Power
I've tried all amd64 ISO-CD installers available here:
https://cdimage.debian.org/cdimage/daily-builds/daily/

The computer is:
Lenovo X1 Carbon Gen 6
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-8650U CPU @ 1.90GHz
Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 8265 (iwlwifi loads fine, during installation)
Intel Ethernet Connection (4) I219-LM
Samsung Electronics NVMe SSD Controller SM981/PM981/PM983

Everything is currently working fine with Debian bullseye, therefore,
it shouldn't be an hardware problem.

Bug#1005886: cdimage.debian.org: bookworm net-install CD hangs on "Detecting Network Hardware"

2022-02-16 Thread Tony Power
Package: cdimage.debian.org
Severity: grave
Tags: d-i
Justification: renders package unusable
X-Debbugs-Cc: powe...@gmail.com

Dear Maintainer,

For a few days I've been trying to install Debian bookworm using the
net-install ISO (e.g., all of today's). All of them hang when it reaches the
"Detecting Network Hardware". I'm able to switch to the log console, and
everything seems to be fine, however, that step doesn't work. If I go to the
disk partitioning step, I have the same problem.

It feels that the options are not displayed.

Cheers,
Tony

Bug#982603: PS

2021-02-12 Thread Tony Power
The proposed linking strategy will let me use the theme, however, I
can still see the following message in the log:
You have requested package `beamerthemenorth', but the package
provides `beamerthemeNord'.

Bug#982603: texlive-latex-extra: beamerthemeNord cant be used

2021-02-12 Thread Tony Power
Package: texlive-latex-extra
Version: 2020.20210202-1
Severity: important
X-Debbugs-Cc: powe...@gmail.com

Dear Maintainer,

*** Reporter, please consider answering these questions, where appropriate ***

   In a LaTeX document: \usetheme{north}
Will result in something like "can't find beamerthemenorth.sty", rendering
it impossible to use the Nord theme.
To be able to use it I've linked
/usr/share/texlive/texmf-dist/tex/latex/beamerthemenord/beamerthemeNord.sty as
/usr/share/texlive/texmf-dist/tex/latex/beamerthemenord/beamerthemenorth.sty
and ran: sudo mktexlsr

Note that there are 2 issues with the name, the uppercase N and the "th"
instead of "d".

-- Package-specific info:
IMPORTANT INFORMATION: We will only consider bug reports concerning
the packaging of TeX Live as relevant. If you have problems with
combination of packages in a LaTeX document, please consult your
local TeX User Group, the comp.text.tex user group, the author of
the original .sty file, or any other help resource.

In particular, bugs that are related to up-upstream, i.e., neither
Debian nor TeX Live (upstream), but the original package authors,
will be closed immediately.

*** The Debian TeX Team is *not* a LaTeX Help Desk ***

If you report an error when running one of the TeX-related binaries
(latex, pdftex, metafont,...), or if the bug is related to bad or wrong
output, please include a MINIMAL example input file that produces the
error in your report.

Please run your example with
(pdf)latex -recorder ...
(or any other program that supports -recorder) and send us the generated
file with the extension .fls, it lists all the files loaded during
the run and can easily explain problems induced by outdated files in
your home directory.

Don't forget to also include minimal examples of other files that are
needed, e.g. bibtex databases. Often it also helps
to include the logfile. Please, never send included pictures!

If your example file isn't short or produces more than one page of
output (except when multiple pages are needed to show the problem),
you can probably minimize it further. Instructions on how to do that
can be found at

or
