It seems that wisdom changed. See epiphany, for example:
Name=Epiphany
GenericName=Web Browser
and an extended field was added:
X-GNOME-FullName=Epiphany Web Browser

I committed a similar change on my local branch.

So at some point the prevailing wisdom was to include the GenericName
in the Name, so this is why it shows this. This may have been a bit of
