Bug#533904: /usr/bin/xtightvncviewer: allow resizing the window to match server resolution

Upstream does not maintain Thightvnc on Linux any more. Thus, resizing the window will not become available in the viewer. severity 533904 wishlist thanks Hi Michal On Sun, Jun 21, 2009 at 03:31:03PM +0200, Michal Suchanek wrote: Package: xtightvncviewer Version: 1.3.9-4 Severity: normal File: /usr/bin/xtightvncviewer When the vnc server changes to smaller resolution vncviewer just displays it in top left corener of the previous larger window. You can change the size of the vnc server? When the server changes to a larger resolution vncviewer exits. Not a surprise. What's so difficult about resizing the window? Vnc was implemented in the days when X could not change the size so it is not part of the protocol simply. This would probably apply to the case when scrollbars make the client area smaller but the window is not resized accordingly. So I'll change this bug to a wishlist bug as this is a feature request.
