Bug#551330: Problem solved with kernel 2.6.33 with KMS enabled
Ben Hutchings b...@decadent.org.uk (05/03/2010): Ben, does reassigning such bugs against the kernel sound OK? Shall I do so for other kernel-related bugs in X itself, or in the video drivers? Maybe marking them as “found” in the latest version users tried with? Bugs should be assigned to whichever package needs to be changed. I don't know why you think this is a special situation... I'm just unfamiliar with possibly-kernel-related bugs, and wanted to make sure not to screw up with those. I'll continue poking submitters once 2.6.32-10 is available and reassign accordingly. Thanks for checking. I'm reassigning this to the kernel, so that it doesn't get forgotten about when preparing a 2.6.32 kernel with 2.6.33 DRM-related fixes (which sounds like the current plan). All changes from 2.6.33 should be included in 2.6.32-10. I assume that will fix this. I'm also leaving a pointer through the “affects” bit.
