Bug#573174: libpolyorb1-dev: NF-27-IC22-022 in polyorb

2010-03-09 Thread xavier
Package: libpolyorb1-dev
Version: 2.6.0~20090423-5
Severity: wishlist

On the way to have homogeneous code I'm usually using -gnaty option for
building my code. But If I use this option within polyorb environment I get
some errors in the generated code.

2.7 version polyorb [1] implements some code to avoid this. The modifications
to the code of po_gnatdist are rather simple [2], can we think about apply a
simple patch to ship a polyorb 2.6.0~201003xx-1 version ? I'm willing to do
this if I have a global agreement about this.

Bug#573174: libpolyorb1-dev: NF-27-IC22-022 in polyorb

2010-03-09 Thread Ludovic Brenta

We cannot ship a later version of polyorb because that would require
a new compiler (see the changelog entry for 2.6.0~20090423-1). Also
there is a high risk of regressions which we want to avoid this close
to the freeze.

However we can backport simple patches such as this one into the
existing version. Feel free to go ahead.
