Bug#574697: [Pkg-utopia-maintainers] Bug#574697: dbus-x11: dbus segfaults when closing ppp connections using network-manager
On 20.03.2010 11:10, alberto maurizi wrote: Package: dbus-x11 Version: 1.2.22-1 Severity: grave Justification: renders package unusable After last upgrade in sid, dbus segaults when interacting with network-manager. An excerpt form my syslog is attached. Is this the only occasion where dbus-daemon segfaults? What are the exact steps you are doing? Note that after the segfault I'm unable to run any application relying on hal (not even restarting dbus and then hal works). I'm sure this started few days ago just after un upgrade that involved dbus while it was very stable before. Please downgrade to the dbus packages from testing (dbus, dbus-x11, libdbus-1-3), to verify that it is a regression in 1.2.22. If the crash in the dbus system bus is reliably reproducible, I'd be very interested in a backtrace [1] Thanks, Michael [1] http://wiki.debian.org/HowToGetABacktrace -- Why is it that all of the instruments seeking intelligent life in the universe are pointed away from Earth? signature.asc Description: OpenPGP digital signature

In my case I can trigger it easily by toggling Bluetooth on and off with the Bluetooth applet's menu. Here's the backtrace I gathered: Thanks for the bt. Do you by chance, also have a 64bit (amd64) system? Regards, Michael -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. Trouble?
