* Andres Salomon dilin...@queued.net [2014-05-12 17:28:41 CEST]: FYI, this is to deal with https://bugs.debian.org/747842, in case anyone else is having the same problem. Erm, are you sort of abusing backports for getting bugfixes into stable? I hope I misunderstand your intentions, but please don't use backports for fixing bugs in stable. Get them fixed in stable instead. Thanks for the notice, do you want us to reject it and you work on a stable update instead? Erm, are you sort of abusing backports for getting bugfixes into stable? I hope I misunderstand your intentions, but please don't use backports for fixing bugs in stable. Get them fixed in stable instead. It's not just the bugfix. I upgraded to see if there was a fix, and realized that there were a whole host of new features (and the UI has been improved quite a bit). I decided that the backport was worth sharing. Thanks for the notice, do you want us to reject it and you work on a stable update instead? No. I filed the bug (which was closed, sigh) so that someone who hit the bug could decide if they wanted to fix it or upgrade to the backport. However, I'm not interested in fixing it in stable; the backport is much nicer to use. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. Trouble? It's not fixed in stable. The version I packaged is for wheezy-backports, which is distinct from stable. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. Trouble?
