Control: retitle -1 Please package new upstream snapshot Control: tag -1 + patch pending Hello Sam David, David, see my question at the end. On Thu, 28 May 2015, Sam Halliday wrote: 1. the ditaa jar is also distributed with org-mode, which I understand is a violation of the debian packaging rules Please report this against org-mode. They should drop their copy and put a symlink to /usr/share/ditaa/ditaa.jar instead. 2. the version of ditaa is really old and upstream have implemented a bunch of nice features. I have prepared a new release based on a git snapshot in the packaging git repository: https://anonscm.debian.org/cgit/collab-maint/ditaa.git You can get a test package here: Binary: https://people.debian.org/~hertzog/packages/ditaa_0.9+git20150709-1_all.deb Source: https://people.debian.org/~hertzog/packages/ditaa_0.9+git20150709-1.dsc Sam, please test and report back if it works fine for you. The above package is built for unstable/stretch. David, do you want to review my work and upload ? Or can I upload straight away (as a team upload) ? Package: ditaa Version: 0.9+ds1-3 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer, There are two parts to this report: 1. the ditaa jar is also distributed with org-mode, which I understand is a violation of the debian packaging rules 2. the version of ditaa is really old and upstream have implemented a bunch of nice features. Upstream has moved on to https://github.com/stathissideris/ditaa and I have submitted a patch which disables debugging, which the upstream author has accidentally left turned on. I have also made a preliminary release, so that I can use the latest version for my own purposes https://github.com/fommil/ditaa/releases/tag/v0.9-fommil Best regards, Sam -- System Information: Debian Release: 8.0 APT prefers stable-updates APT policy: (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 3.16.0-4-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages ditaa depends on: ii default-jdk [java6-sdk] 2:1.7-52 ii default-jre [java6-runtime] 2:1.7-52 ii jarwrapper 0.48 ii junit4 4.11-3 ii libbatik-java 1.7+dfsg-5 ii libcommons-cli-java 1.2-3 ii libjericho-html-java3.1-2 ii libxml-commons-external-java1.4.01-2 ii openjdk-7-jdk [java6-sdk] 7u79-2.5.5-1~deb8u1 ii openjdk-7-jre [java6-runtime] 7u79-2.5.5-1~deb8u1 ii oracle-java6-installer [java6-sdk] 6u45-0~webupd8~8 ii oracle-java7-installer [java6-sdk] 7u80+7u60arm-0~webupd8~0 ii oracle-java8-installer [java6-sdk] 8u45+8u33arm-1~webupd8~0 ditaa recommends no packages. ditaa suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe.
