Bug#896759: [gui-ufw] FTBFS and no maintainer activity since 2016

2018-10-12 Thread Miriam Ruiz
I'm not particularly interested in maintaining the package and, as I'm
not using it anymore myself. I would be terribly glad if you wanted to
take care of it.

Greetings,
Miry

Bug#896759: [gui-ufw] FTBFS and no maintainer activity since 2016

2018-10-03 Thread Samuel Henrique
Hello Everyone, I'm not sure if I should have CC'ed everyone, sorry if
I shouldn't.

Today a Brazilian user was asking help installing gufw on Testing, he
said it was only on unstable and stable, I decided to have a look and
discovered:

* The last upload was a NMU on 2017-05-13
* The last maintainer upload was on 2016-11-06
* Package currently has an very easy fix FTBFS bug opened since April this year
* One of the maintainers (Devid) is still maintaining the package on
Ubuntu and doing uploads
* Deivid had to get sponsor for their uploads on Debian

I would really like to see the status of the package be the same as of
on Ubuntu, being up to date and without bugs.

Deivid and Miriam, are you still willing to maintain the package? I
can see that Deivid already have DM permission on some packages, you
could get one for gui-fw, or at least I could sponsor your uploads (if
Miriam stopped doing so).

In the last case, I could have a look and put the package up to date
with Ubuntu's.

Thanks for your consideration.
