Immagino che invece il pacchetto smbclient sia già installato nel
tuo sistema. Penso che sia quello che venga utilizzato
dall'applicativo che stai usando e che riesce ad accedere a
quelle condivisioni.
Infatti da aptitude show smbclient: cut If you want to mount
shares exported from Microsoft Windows machines or a Samba server
you must install the smbfs package.
